The travelers have been counted and the flights have been documented. The 2017 rankings for the busiest airports in the world are in, according to the Airports Council International. And the winner is… Atlanta! Yes, the southern U.S. city sees more air traffic than any other city on our planet. ATL saw a whopping 103,902,992 people on and off planes last year.

And while we don’t have data on how long the security lines are at each airport (although there is an app for that), we do know that these are the 20 busiest in the world.

2. Beijing Capital International Airport — Beijing, China

3. Dubai International Airport — Dubai, United Arab Emirates

4. Haneda Airport — Tokyo, Japan

7. Heathrow Airport — London, United Kingdom

8. Hong Kong International Airport — Hong Kong, Hong Kong

9. Shanghai Pudong International Airport — Shanghai, China

10. Charles de Gaulle Airport — Paris, France

11. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol — Amsterdam, Netherlands

12. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport — Dallas, Texas, U.S.

Now, this data includes both domestic and international passengers, but if you limit the numbers to the international jet-setters, Dubai takes the number one spot.
