Michelin Guide 2017 Names 77 Restaurants in NYC

Michael Tulipan / Faro

In its 2017 guide to New York City, Michelin has added multiple restaurants to its esteemed rankings. The new guide includes newcomers in the outer boroughs, which just goes to show what most New Yorkers already know — there’s a whole world of exceptional food to be eaten outside of Manhattan.

Only one restaurant, Frederik Berselius’ newly reopened and reimagined Aska, broke the two-star barrier (in its last iteration at Kinfolk Studios, Michelin gave it one star), while 12 restaurants made the one-star list. In Bushwick, Faro moved from the Bib Gourmand list to one star, and in Harlem, the elegant Sushi Inoue earned a star as well.

Here are all of New York City’s Michelin-starred restaurants, with new additions bolded.
