Harinezumi Cafe in Chiang Mai, Thailand is a cafe completely dedicated to adorably spikey, roly-poly hedgehogs. And as you sip your coffee, you can play with the tiny animals.

It’s 150 Thai baht to play with a hedgehog, which comes out to about $5. That includes your drink of choice (we suggest the Thai iced tea), a treat and the chance to meet your very own hedgehog friend.

Modeled after a similar hedgehog cafe in Japan, Harinezumi Cafe is home to more than 40 hedgehogs, along with a gaggle of guinea pigs who will eat all the bamboo you feed them. So if the thorny hedgehogs seem a little ambitious pre-caffeine boost, try befriending a nice, familiar guinea pig first. The cafe has a guinea pig cage with plenty of space for the rodents to run up and down a long wooden ramp when they need to stretch their legs… or when they spot some visitors waving some yummy bamboo.

To play with these little guys, you have to follow the rules. You can’t pick them up with your bare hands — they have spikes — and you can’t feed them “people food.” Hedgehogs are also pretty shy creatures, which means that if they’re not feeling social, they’ll just curl up in a little ball. If that’s the case, don’t poke them. Just give them time to breathe and get used to you.

The decor at Harinezumi Cafe is all hedgehogs all the time. That means hedgehogs on the walls and even hedgehog-shaped pillows. The cafe tables are constructed to have a little hedgehog home in the center, so you can hang with your new little buddy while you sip your drink.
