This Hamburger Sold For A Whopping $10,000
What appears to be the most expensive burger in the history of the world just sold for a whopping $10,000. The price no doubt is exorbitant, but at least it was for a good cause. The proceeds from the sale, which happened in Dubai, benefited Pink Caravan, a breast cancer awareness charity.
So what will a whopping 10 grand get you? In this case, it was seven beef patties, which was symbolic of the number of emirates, served with aged cheddar cheese and veal bacon strips on a saffron brioche bun.

Even if it’s for a good cause, one has to wonder who would shell out that kind of cash… for a burger. In this case, Asma Al Fahim is that generous individual. She’s the founder of Villa 88, a Dubai lifestyle magazine.
Speaking on her bid for the juicy meal, Fahim said, “Two years ago we broke the world record by selling one burger for $7,000, and this year we wanted to top that.”
The fundraising event in which individuals also placed bids for other delicious dishes like braised short ribs with desert truffles, netted an impressive $30,000.
The burger is only the latest insanely pricey food to make headlines in recent weeks. A Cabo San Lucas restaurant has tacos – which include flakes made of gold – on the menu for $25,000. Yes, $25,000 grand, you read that right.
Then there’s the most expensive cup of coffee in America, which will set you back $18. It’s not in the league of the taco, but it’s still a bit much if you ask us.
And if that’s not enough to give you sticker shock, a special strawberry hit the shelves in Hong Kong for $22.
Lastly, if drinks are more your thing, these pricey cocktails will set you back anywhere from $1,200 to $10,900. Crazy, we know.
