If peanut brittle was one of your favorite snacks growing up, it’s time to get on board with banana brittle. You can easily make banana brittle right at home or find it at health food stores, as well as Whole Foods, for around $5.

A company called Barnana makes banana brittle that’s thin, crispy, plant-based, vegan, organic, gluten-free, soy-free and non-GMO. Each piece of this dried banana snack is nutty, buttery and sweet with a chewy and taffy-like texture.

You can find Barnana’s banana brittle in four flavors: gingersnap, dark chocolate, peanut butter and toasted coconut. The flavors range from spicy to nutty to creamy. Each crunchy flavor is made with ingredients like gluten-free oat flour, coconut sugar, coconut oil, almond flour, Cassava Starch, Vitamin C, cinnamon and vanilla extract.

You can crumble up banana brittle and add it to your toast, yogurt, oatmeal, smoothie bowl or anything else under the sun. You can also eat it right out of the bag for a healthy snack.

Barnana makes its banana snacks out of upcycled bananas. This means the eco-conscious company buys bruised and overripe bananas from farmers in Latin America and turns them into dehydrated snacks. This helps to reduce food waste by making the most out fruit that would otherwise be neglected in grocery stores for being imperfect.

We’re on board with these vegan banana snacks.
