Serendipity 3’s ‘Born This Way’ Ice Cream Sundae Benefits Lady Gaga’s Foundation
We have some good news for all the do-gooder sugar freaks out there. New York City’s Serendipity 3 just released a limited edition sundae benefitting Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation. The name of the decadent dessert? The Born This Way Sundae, obviously.
Just like we’re all totally different and beautifully unique, this sundae is all about creating your own masterpiece. It comes with three scoops of ice cream and 12 bowls of colorful toppings. How you put them all together is completely up to you. You can make it rainbow, you can make it reflect your inner being, whatever feels right. Wow, pretty deep for a sundae, huh?
The sundae costs $24.95 and a portion of the proceeds go to the Born This Way Foundation, started by Lady Gaga and her mom, Cynthia Germanotta. The foundation’s mission is “supporting the wellness of young people, and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world,” according to a press release. They run mental health programming and build community-based partnerships to make sure kids have access to emotional and mental health services.
Serendipity 3 is famous for another frozen treat — Frrrozen Hot Chocolate (with multiple flavors). But if you want an altruistically sweet concoction while wandering around the Upper East Side, go for the Born This Way Sundae. Gaga, ooh la la!
