Starbucks’ Horchata Almond Milk Frappuccino Is Here And We’re Feeling It

Starbucks introduced a new kind of frap and we’re not mad about it. The new Horchata Almondmilk Frappuccino sounds amazing. It’s made with almond milk, cinnamon dolce syrup, coffee and ice and then blended together. Starbucks’ signature twist on this culturally-rooted Central American drink involves whipped cream, a swirl of caramel and a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar.

The new icy blended drink is ideal for warm summer days. You’ll get some PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) vibes from the cinnamon flavor and the caramel notes will ease you right into fall. You can find the Horchata Almondmilk Frappuccino at Starbucks stores across the United States and Canada. This concoction has been in the works for a little while now. There’s been a secret menu version out there generating some buzz, but now it’s in full swing. You can get this frap with or without coffee.

Bonus: the drink is dairy free, minus the whipped cream and caramel drizzle. While some of Starbucks’ syrups contain dairy, you’re in the clear with this one.

Horchata is a refreshingly mellow invention compared to the crazy creations Starbucks has been releasing lately (a beef jerky drink, the Unicorn Frappuccino and the mermaid Frappuccino, to name a few). The Almondmilk Frappuccino is lighter than the others with dairy-free milk, plus it’s hard not to like a cinnamon and caramel combo. We’re definitely intrigued.

UPDATED: This story was updated to reflect that Starbucks’ drizzle contains dairy.
