New Starbucks Beef Jerky Drink Sounds Like Hell On Earth

@starbucksroastery

How about a cold brew with hint of beef jerky? If you’re enthusiastically nodding your head, we can only assume you’re a cowboy or just someone with particular tastes. For us, though, this new Starbucks drink is a no-go. The brand released an actual coffee drink with beef jerky, and we’ve already tapped out.

Delish reports that starting today, Starbucks is selling the drink, called the “Pepper Nitro with a Jerky Twist.” For a limited time at its Seattle Reserve Roastery, you can try the beverage, which sounds insane to make. Starting with the reserve’s Eastern D.R. Congo Lake Kivu coffee, the drink is served as a cold brew and infused with a malted fennel black pepper syrup. Then, the nitro is topped with a layer of honey cold foam, some pink peppercorn accent and — yep — a slice of grass-fed beef jerky.

The drink may not be undrinkable, but we’re not sure we can handle such a…unique concoction. We’ll leave it at that. If you end up liking it, we’re happy to cheer you on from afar.
