Oreo Is Launching Hot Chicken Wing and Wasabi Flavors In China

While we’re over here eating our Peeps-flavored Oreos, China gets to play an entirely different ball game. Oreo’s parent company, Mondelēz International, just announced two new flavors coming to China that are seriously on the savory side.
We’re talking about Hot Chicken Wing and Wasabi-flavored Oreos. This beloved cookie brand isn’t messing around. The Hot Chicken Wing flavor has a bright orange cream filling that’ll remind you of Buffalo sauce, and it’s sandwiched between the classic chocolate Oreo cookies. The Wasabi flavor is a matcha green color, and it’s also sandwiched between the classic chocolate cookies.
These bold, savory flavors are no joke. Let’s just hope Hot Chicken Wing and Wasabi Oreos do well enough in China to make it over to the States sometime soon. We always need a little savory to balance the sweet in the cookie aisle.
