The gold food trend is still going strong for reasons we might never truly understand. From gold pizza to gold-speckled Buffalo wings to gold desserts, the idea of putting edible gold on food continues to intrigue culinary enthusiasts around the world. And now, New York City matcha spot Matcha N’ More is putting 24-karat gold leaf on its soft serve ice cream.

The soft serve comes in three flavors: vanilla, chocolate and matcha. If you want to add 24-karat gold leaf to your soft serve for that bougie aesthetic, it’ll run you $9. (It’s $6 if you aren’t feeling like your fanciest self.) You can get your soft serve in a cup or a cone, and the cones come in both matcha and chocolate flavors.

The matcha at Matcha N’ More is imported from Uji, Japan, where matcha was first introduced. The fine powder form of matcha comes from green tea leaves, and it’s packed with antioxidants and good-for-you minerals.

So this dessert lets you load up on a superfood and have some stellar photos for Instagram? Amazing. Apparently, nothing says “health” like 24-karat gold.
