Buffalo Wild Wings Is Dusting Its Wings With Gold For The Olympics

Gold-dusted foods have pretty much become an industry standard these days, but it’s not too often that you see a casual bar food like buffalo wings decked out in edible gold. Yet, Buffalo Wild Wings is going there. It’s offering customers wings with some “bling” at no extra charge throughout the entire month of February.

The chicken chain is calling it “Wing Bling,” and the gold sprinkles can be applied to any flavor of buffalo wings. It’s basically the Buffalo Wild Wing’s way of pumping up the crowds for the 21018 Winter Olympics.

Unlike gold pizza and gold chocolate bars, this gold dust isn’t too lavish. The sprinkles are really just tasteless golden sugar, but at least you can pretend you’re fancy for social media purposes. You might end up with some gold sprinkles in your teeth, but hey, it’s all part of the experience.

If you’re someone who needs to get messy with a big pile wings while you watch Olympians bobsled, snowboard and ski their way to their gold medals, you can now feel slightly classy in the process.
