There’s A Dog-Friendly Beer Trail In Vermont Calling Your Name
Some people dream of vacationing with their pup. And in Vermont, there’s a dog-friendly beer trail that’ll let you plan a weekend getaway with your furry best friend.
The Vermont Brewers Association has an extensive list of breweries that’ll welcome your dog so you don’t have to leave him or her behind. And we gotta say, we’re all about that fresh Vermont mountain air and, of course, the maple syrup and craft beer.
When it comes time to plan your brewery trail, there are more than 10 breweries across the state that’ll let you roll up with your pooch in tow. Just to hit the tip of the iceberg, check out Goodwater Brewery, Four Quarters Brewing, Hop’n Moose Brewing Company, The Alchemist Brewing, Idletyme Brewing Company and Zero Gravity Brewery.
Whether you start up in Stowe and work your way down to Brattleboro or brewery hop your way around Burlington, you and your doggo have some serious ground to cover.
While driving might be your best bet with a dog on board, Amtrak is in the process of changing its policy to allow some dogs and cats as passengers on designated train cars. And even though your pup won’t be able to split a pint with you, they’ll still be able to keep you company on the journey. Plus, a pup is always a great conversation starter when you’re exploring a new city or brewery.
So grab your growlers and your favorite canine and head to Vermont during peak foliage season. If you have time, explore a sugar shack or two while you’re in the area, too.
