Out of all of the fast food restaurants out there, Chick-fil-A might be the most respected with its iconic fried chicken sandwich. And starting this August, the chain is branching out into completely new territory with the introduction of Chick-fil-A meal kits.

The fast food chain will be selling its “Mealtime Kits” at 150 restaurants in the Atlanta area, making it the first fast food chain to offer a meal kit service. You’ll be able to purchase these kits at Chick-fil-A drive-thrus, counters or through the company’s app.

Similar to other meal kit services like Blue Apron, Chick-fil-A’s meal kits will include fresh, pre-measured ingredients. There will be five meal kits to choose from: chicken parmesan, chicken enchiladas, crispy Dijon chicken, pan-roasted chicken and chicken flatbread. Each kit will cost $15.89, which serve two people and can be prepared in 30 minutes or less.

The Chick-fil-A meal kits will only be available through November. If the concept does well, we might see an expansion on a larger scale in the future. Who knows what the future will hold…

With all of the competition in the meal kit service industry, it’s smart that Chick-fil-A’s kits will be so accessible, making these 150 locations one-stop-shops for both fast food and meal prep needs.
