Chick-fil-A Dominates Fast Food In 40 Out Of 50 States

The people have spoken. It’s clear, Chick-fil-A holds a special place in people’s stomachs. The restaurant is the most popular in 40 out of 50 states, topping popular chains like White Castle, McDonald’s, In-N-Out Burger and Wendy’s. That’s according to research from Business Insider and Foursquare that sought to determine the reigning champion of fast-food in every state across the country.

Maybe it’s the beloved chicken sandwich on a toasted buttered bun with dill pickles, the crispy waffle fries, the legit chicken nuggets, the milkshakes or the plethora of sauces. Whatever the reason people love Chick-fil-A, Americans can’t seem to get enough of the fast-food chain.

The research from Business Insider and Foursquare analyzed which chains received the most visits on average. For the study, they divided the total number of visits to each restaurant by the number of locations in that particular state.
