This Cartoon Cafe In Seoul Makes It Feel Like You’re Drinking Coffee Inside A Doodle
What if you could draw your very own ideal coffee shop into existence? Well, that’s just what some creative minds did to make Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20 in Seoul, South Korea. The cafe is one big optical illusion — as if every bit of the restaurant was sketched on pen and paper right before your eyes.

The two-dimensional design scheme was created by the cafe’s owners. It’s like living inside a sketch, which is exactly what it’s supposed to feel like. There are tiny details hidden around the cafe, from pop-out flowers on the walls to 2D “cushions” on a flat “couch.”

In fact, the cafe’s look was inspired by Korean TV drama “W – Two Worlds” and that’s the entire premise of the show. It’s a fantastical romance where a daughter is pulled into a cartoon world invented by her father and, of course, a dashing man gets pulled into the chaos as well.

Made-for-Instagram selfies and “candid” photo ops at the charming 2D-looking chairs and tables, the cafe offers cutesy coffee drinks and snacks. If you’re a fan of gorgeous espresso drinks, you’ll be thrilled to dine here.
