Here’s What To Order At Shake Shack Based On Your Food Mood

@Shakeshack

With all of the burger chains out there, sometimes it’s hard to choose. One of the best parts about Shake Shack is that you can go there in any kind of mood, with any kind of craving and leave satisfied. You don’t just have to be a burger lover to find something delish on the menu. Here’s what you should order at the popular burger chain based on your food mood.

Vegetarian Mood

While their burgers are pretty great, Shake Shack has a vegetarian option that rivals the beef. The Shroom Burger is a crisp-fried portobello mushroom that’s filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, just like a juicy lucy. The mushroom is topped with lettuce, tomato and the signature ShakeSauce. Once you see the cheese ooze out of the middle, it’s over, you’ll be hooked.

Carnivorous Mood

The original ShackBurger — a cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce — is always a safe bet. So is the SmokeShack with cheese, all-natural applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry pepper and ShackSauce. If it’s one of those days where neither of these burgers are going to fill you up, there’s always the quad burger on Shake Shack’s secret menu. The quad burger has four patties, plus all of the regular toppings.

Salty And Sweet Mood

The secret menu can help you out in a time of crisis when you need something salty and sweet immediately. The peanut butter and bacon ShackBurger is a cheeseburger with bacon on it that comes with a side of peanut butter sauce for you to pour all over it. You can also go the fries-and-shake route and get yourself some crinkle cut fries with a cup of frozen vanilla custard or a vanilla shake for dipping.

Sweet Tooth Mood

When you want something sugary, go for the frozen custards or shakes. The frozen custard comes in flavors like Shack Attack with chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough and Master Brothers Shake Shack dark chocolate chunks. The whole thing is topped with chocolate sprinkles. The frozen custards vary depending on the location. There are also hand-spun milkshakes, root beer floats and “Concretes,” which are cups of dense frozen custard blended with mix-ins.

Something Crispy Mood

When you really need something crispy to bite into, order the Chick’n Shack. This fried chicken sandwich comes with a crispy chicken breast that’s topped with lettuce, pickles and a buttermilk herb mayo on a classic Martin’s potato roll. Get yourself some fries to add onto the whole crispy theme.

Sour Mood

Sometimes we just want some pickles. The Shack-cago Dog will help you out here. This hot dog is split and griddled till it’s crispy. It’s topped with Rick’s Picks relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt and mustard. The whole thing is an ode to the Chicago-style hot dog.

Boozy Mood

Maybe you’re passing by a Shake Shack and you’re in the mood for some booze before you meet up with friends and there are no liquor stores around. Shake Shack has wine and beer options depending on the location. There’s a beer on draft called ShackMeister Ale that’s made by Brooklyn Brewery, bottled local brews and some red and white wine options.

Not Hungry, But Your Dog Is Kind Of Mood

It’s not often that restaurants think about your dog when crafting their menu. Shake Shack has a dog menu that’s available at all locations besides stadiums, ballparks, airports and international outposts. There’s the Pooch-ini, which are ShackBurger dog biscuits with peanut butter sauce and vanilla custard. There’s also the Bag O’ Bones with five ShackBurger Dog Biscuits that are made by NYC’s Bocce’s Bakery.
