Summer travel is expensive, mostly because that’s the time when everyone wants to vacation. But it doesn’t have to be extremely pricey if you know where to go. According to U.S. News and World Report, these are the best budget trips around the country this summer.
1. Grand Canyon, Arizona
The iconic landscape of the Grand Canyon is a priceless adventure that comes at a low cost, especially if you camp in the national park and avoid the more expensive nearby hotels.
2. Williamsburg, Virginia
Colonial Williamsburg is a time machine of a trip. You can experience the town just like the first settlers did back in the early days of the U.S.’s 13 original colonies.
3. Fort Meyers, Florida
Besides the beaches, you can visit local wildlife at Manatee Park (where you’ll find the roly-poly sea mammals) or wander along the coast via car or bike.
