Wildkale Is Like Seamless For Farmers’ Markets

@wildkale

WildKale is like Seamless or FreshDirect for farmers’ markets. You can buy fresh food directly from the best local farms in your area. The food is delivered overnight, right to your doorstep and it comes in sustainable packaging. This app-based produce delivery service is only available right now in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

As long as you’re within a 300-mile radius of the local farms, you can be a part of Wildkale. The main concept of the app is to help customers who may not have time to access a farmers’ market and give them easy access to fresh produce, all while helping the local economy.

All you have to do is enter your zip code, check out which local farmers are available to you, place your order and you’ll get the delivery within the next business day. There’s a flat $5.99 delivery fee no matter how much you spend or how much the package weighs, so make the most out of each order. You select your food a la carte just like you would at an actual farmers’ market.

Wildkale is fully transparent with who raises your food and exactly how it was raised. You don’t have to worry about false branding or questionable origins of your products and there’s no middleman between farmers and customers.

Wildkale works with about 30 farms, all of which are small family farms with products that aren’t available in big grocery stores. You can get a week’s worth of fresh, healthy produce with a few clicks or taps. You’ll have access to farm-fresh eggs, pork from farms where the pigs are apple-fed and free-roaming.

While nothing will beat going to a real farmers’ market and interacting with the farmers on a human level, Wildkale is a cool way to take advantage of your local farms. It’s always a bonus when you get to cook with food you feel good about.
