Drinking Kombrewcha Might Be The Healthiest Way To Get Buzzed

@kombrewcha

While we can’t technically tell you that any kind of alcohol is healthy, we can say that hard kombucha gets pretty close.

Kombrewcha, the first of its kind, is a fizzy fermented tea with naturally occurring alcohol, which means the alcohol is a byproduct of the fermentation process. Your average kombucha usually falls somewhere between 0.5 and 2 percent ABV, but hard kombucha is brewed to 3.2 percent.

Kombrewcha is made with fair-trade black tea and organic cane sugar that’s fermented with organic yeast and a live SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). The flavor of this hard kombucha falls somewhere in between a beer and a cider.

The best part? You get a buzz without worrying about what you’re putting into your body. There’s complete transparency on the label, and you can actually recognize all of the ingredients in each bottle.

The refreshing and light beverage is low in sugar and can be your healthy-ish alternative to wine or beer. Kombrewcha sells for around $3 per 12-ounce bottle and comes in four flavors: The O.G., Royal Ginger, Lemongrass Lime and Berry Hibiscus.

These four flavors also make great mixers for cocktails. The company’s website shares recipes for cocktails like a Brewchy Mary using the Lemongrass Lime flavor, a Brewjito using the O.G. flavor, and Dark and Brewchy using the Royal Ginger flavor.

While Kombrewcha might not get you as buzzed as other alcoholic drinks, it’s perfect for some low-key social drinking.  We might take a little break from our usual beers and give this hard kombucha a try.
