Weight Watchers Is Rolling Out A New Line Of Blue Apron-Style Meal Kits

@weightwatchers

The meal kit sphere is growing more and more every day and Weight Watchers just got in the game. The weight-loss company created a partnership with FreshRealm, a meal kit service, that will allow you to buy Weight Watchers meal kits at stores nationwide by the second half of the year.

These grab-and-go kits will have pre-chopped and pre-portioned ingredients, so they’re great for people with little time for cooking.

Unlike Blue Apron’s home delivery service, the meal kits won’t be available to buy online. Weight Watchers is still aiming to reach the same customers as its competitor, but without requiring them to have a subscription or make a commitment.

The new line of meal kits is part of Weight Watchers’ Healthy Kitchen initiative. Kitchen tools and products made by kitchenware company Gibson Overseas are part of the plan. We’re talking pineapple corers, infuser water bottles and pots with portion-measuring marks.

If you love the meal kit lifestyle, but want to keep it light and healthy, Weight Watchers’ latest innovation is for you.
