Walmart’s Award-Winning $6 Wine Is Back On Shelves

When it comes to buying wine, it can be tough to know how cheap you can go without skimping on taste. To name a few winners, we’re huge fans of Trader Joe’s two buck chuck and Target’s $5 selection. Up next? Walmart, of all stores. The superstore has an award-winning wine for just $6, and it’s back on shelves for your boozy pleasure.

Delish reports that the red wine, La Moneda Reserva Malbec, was tasted alongside 16,000 other entries at the Decanter World Wine Awards. 240 global wine experts unanimously gave the wine a stellar rating of 95 out of 100 in the Platinum Best In Show, and it won!

The wine was originally available at the U.K.’s version of Walmart, Asda, and on the British company’s online store last year. It sold out online pretty quickly, so U.S. residents couldn’t get their hands on it and didn’t know when it would become available again. Now, Walmart is carrying the wine in all eligible U.S. stores.

Finally, we can grab a bottle (or five) of the good stuff and not break the bank doing it. If there’s any reason to go to Walmart as soon as possible, it’s for the vino.
