The VNYL: A Lavish Throwback to the ’70s

[tw-divider]The Scoop[/tw-divider]

  • The VNYL (short for Vintage New York Lifestyle) is a 1970s-inspired, four-story bar, club, and record store from the Irish entrepreneur and owner James Morrissey (The Late Late), with Entourage star Adrian Grenier serving as the music director
  • Upstairs on the mezzanine, guests have the option to receive tableside mixology and to experience an ambitious cocktail selection — all ingredients are prepared in-house — by beverage director Gareth Howells. There’s also the Champagne Garden (complete with a rope swing), The Lion’s Den (a tasting lounge with craft beer, TVs, and leather couches), and the Black Rose Room with a full-sized bar
  • The ground floor features the main bar and a boutique vinyl shop called The VNYL Coffee Co. The innovative food menu, curated by chef Jordan Andino (2nd City), leans towards California-style fare with local and sustainably-sourced seafood

The VNYL represents a group of influences from the ’70s with a combination of design, fashion, art, music, and attitude, and the venue has a residential vibe while also providing an escape. Each piece of furniture was custom-made in Ireland just for The VNYL
