The Unicorn Food Trend Will Make You Believe In Magic

The unicorn food trend is taking Instagram by storm and it may be the most gorgeous food of 2017. It may be random as hell and food coloring skeptics may cringe, but we’re both intrigued and slightly obsessed.

Starbucks is even getting on board with the color movement. Its release of a “Unicorn Frappuccino” had people freaking out. We’ll say, it’s pretty damn beautiful.

All we have to say is bring on the rainbow. We’d wait in line for these magical foods any day:

13. Unicorn Truffled Grilled Cheese

Rainbow Cheese Toastie ($9) Truffled grilled cheese naturally coloured with vegetables purée of beetroot (pink), carrot (orange), spinach (green), cauliflower/blue pea flower (blue) & red cabbage (violet). Note that this unicorn food do come in limited quantity every day 🦄 It's rare that the truffle wasn't overpowered by the amount of cheese (I've had many disappointing encounters elsewhere). Though once is enough – I do like it, but would have loved it better with some side salad or something. Moreover, nothing would ever beat the original version I've tried in Hong Kong (KALA Toast in Tsuen Wan).
