The research included asking one thousand people from a number of countries like the U.S., Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Brazil and South Korea, to complete an online survey. The managers in the group answered questions on whether hiring decisions were based on current employment and if traveling made candidates more appealing. Responses were collected, and the results were staggering.

64 percent of U.K. participants believed extensive international travel made a candidate look better, while overall, 82 percent of participants said they would factor travel experience into why a candidate should be hired.

We can’t think of a better reason than this to take some time to travel the world.
