You’ll Think At You’re On The Set Of ‘Lost’ At This WWII Plane Crash Site
If you were (or are) into the show “Lost”, you have to see this plane crash site. Located in Tofino, Canada, remnants of a plane crash from 1945 are still fairly in tact, though obviously mangled. You can visit the site after hiking a muddy trail to the top. From there, you’ll feel like you just stranded yourself in the middle of the woods.
Popsugar reports that the trail to the site, called Radar Hill, is about a 3-mile hike. Though it’s not difficult, the Tofino Hiking website says that the hike can be a bit muddy depending on the weather and to prepare accordingly.
Thankfully, the passengers of the 1945 crash all survived. You can read more about the passengers and other details of the incident on the hiking website. History buffs and adventurers alike will love being immersed in the rich backstory and well-preserved remains of the crash. Plus, the hike isn’t too bad itself.
If you happen to be in the area, or you’re dying to see this for yourself, head to Tofino and hike the trail up to the crash site. You’ll have incredible Insta pics for days, but more importantly, you’ll have stood where history was made.
