Hey Prosecco fans, we just want to give you a pat on the back for good judgment. Considering that moderate amounts of Prosecco can potentially keep your heart healthy, improve your memory and are typically lower calorie than your average well drink, it seems like a smart choice. And, one company is going the extra mile to make your love of Prosecco even better. Meet Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco.
The up-and-coming brand boasts a Prosecco that has less than half the amount of sugar as the average Prosecco and, as a result, less calories. The Prosecco is also organic and naturally-sweetened using North East Italy grapes.
We didn’t need much convincing to request a bottle to do a taste test, and we’re so glad we did. When it arrived, we popped it in the refrigerator for a few hours and then tried it for ourselves.
The Prosecco tasted the same as any other Prosecco we’ve had, with a fresh, crisp flavor and a delicious mineral aftertaste. It certainly doesn’t hurt that there’s less than 7 grams of sugar per liter and about 67 calories per glass as opposed to the average Prosecco, which has double the sugar and about 80 calories per glass. Bonus: a 750ml bottle only costs $19.99.
You don’t necessarily need to cut corners with Prosecco, but when you have a healthier alternative that tastes amazing and comes in under $20 a bottle, that’s what we call a big win.
