Turkey Ice Cream Exists And We’re Not Sure What To Think

@saltandstraw

The West Coast ice cream shop Salt and Straw — with locations in Portland, Los Angeles and San Francisco — is taking the savory ice cream trend to new levels with five Thanksgiving flavors: Apple Cranberry Stuffing, Buttered Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Salted Caramel Thanksgiving Turkey, Spiced Goat Cheese and Pumpkin Pie and Sweet Potato Casserole with Maple Pecans.

Bizarre? Yeah. Would we try them? Probably. The ice cream comes at a pretty steep price — $65 a pint. Crazy, we know. On the plus side, for every pint that’s purchased, Salt and Straw will donate a pint to Urban Gleaners, which is a Portland non-profit that works to alleviate hunger.

If you live in Portland, Los Angeles or San Francisco, you can go get your scoops in person. (Thrillist reports shops will be closed on actual Thanksgiving, so you’ll want to go ahead of time). If you live anywhere else in the country, you can order pints online and have them shipped to you.
