The World’s First Raining Tequila Cloud Is Here
Scientific advancements are always welcome, especially if they ultimately make our lives easier. And oh, does this new innovation do just that: a tequila cloud has been brought into the world, and we are living for this moment.
The Mexican Tourism Board and creative agency LAPIZ collaborated on a cloud that produces actual drops of tequila. The promotion was initially geared toward German tourists when it was installed at a Berlin art gallery to remind locals of how sunny and wonderful Mexico is.
And with a tequila cloud, how can they honestly believe differently?
The tequila-based mist is held together by a plastic tube that helps keep its cloud-like shape. At the exhibit, it rains whenever it’s raining outside in Berlin. The cloud definitely can’t go outside, sadly, but plenty of people enjoyed it just as well indoors.
Drinkers hold out shot glasses under the cloud to get a full taste. The spout underneath it also pours tequila, in case patrons don’t want to wait for the rain.
We don’t know what the future holds for alcoholic clouds, but we speculate, every other country (and every bar in every other country) should take note. We’d embrace a tequila cloud any day.
