Suffolk Arms Is Where A Pedigreed Mixologist Honors NYC

  • Suffolk Arms is the passion project of third-generation head bartender Giuseppe Gonzalez — formerly of Flatiron Lounge, Dutch Kills, and Pegu Club. The pedigreed barman is the owner and bartender of Suffolk Arms, where he takes a hospitality-driven approach to mixology
  • The British pub-like space has New York accents and a cocktail menu that focuses on Gonzalez’s three core values: history, service, and mixology. There’s an omakase-style option where each drink is customized individually to guests’ spirit and flavor preferences
  • Cuban-born chef Alex Garcia helms the kitchen with a menu of classic American fare and ethnic influences from the cocktail pub’s Lower East Side surroundings. From the drink menu, order the Duke of Suffolk (Hendrick’s Gin, earl grey and English breakfast tea, and cream), The Tough Room (a Guinness and whiskey sour float), or a martini from the extensive vodka-inspired menu

Giuseppe González is one of the most prominent mixologists in NYC. Gonzalez and his co-owner and former classmate, Ruben Rodriguez (of the Bronx’s Michelin-approved Havana Cafe), are working together to redeem vodka’s reputation through their barrier-breaking cocktail menu while celebrating every aspect about New York that they love. Over 80 sketches of famous New York characters line the walls, featuring everyone from Ed Koch to Joey Ramone
