Snickers-Stuffed Donuts Exist And They Look Like Bites Of Pillowy Goodness
Do you like Snickers? Donuts? Well, this Los Angeles cafe has all of the answers.
Cafe Dulce, with its flagship location in the Little Tokyo district, makes all kinds of crazy inventive donuts in different shapes and sizes.
You’ll find donuts like Green Tea Roti, Fruity Pepple, Pumpkin Spice Roti, Bacon, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Oreo and Snickers. The Snickers donut, while seasonal, might be Cafe Dulce’s biggest seller yet. Because yes, candy bars are stuffed inside of fluffy donuts.
The candy bars are chopped into small pieces, hand-formed into ball shapes and wrapped in donut dough. The donuts go into the deep fryer until they’re golden brown and then they’re dusted with powdered sugar.
If you don’t get to the Snickers-stuffed donuts while they’re hot, the shop will heat them up for you so the chocolate oozes out when you break into it. It looks like the Snickers also has some magical effects on the dough and gives the donut, in general, a fluffier texture.
We’ll take our Snickers in donut form any day.
