Slide Rock State Park Is Arizona’s Natural Waterpark

Sedona’s Slide Rock State Park is undeniably one of the best swimming spots in the entire United States. It’s basically a red rock waterpark with a slip ‘n’ slide and a cliff-diving version of a high dive.

Slide Rock State Park isn’t far from Arizona’s Flagstaff Airport, so if you’re Grand Canyon-bound, pack your swimsuit and take a break from the desert for some splash-around fun.

The slip ‘n’ slide is pure rock.

Hop in, take off and try to stay upright.

Cliff diving is just down the bend.

Even if you have to plug your nose, still take the leap.

It’s a gorgeous venue.

The park is located in the middle of Arizona’s many state and national parks.

You don’t have to be wild.

You can also float down the stream — lazy river style.

But remember: This is not a real waterpark.

There are no lifeguards on duty. The rocks are slippery and not built to be easy to hold onto when climbing. So just know your own swimming abilities, be careful and have fun.
