This New Zealand Natural Wonder Is The Ultimate Slip N’ Slide

It’s no surprise that New Zealand is the adventure capital of the world. From ridiculous bungee jumps to grand rapids to even body surfing, there’s something for every kind of thrill seeker. And another (not so) hidden gem among the activities there is the Rere Rockslide, New Zealand’s coolest natural slip n’ slide.

The rockslide, which is situated in Gisborne, New Zealand, is a popular tourist attraction particularly because it’s an all-natural water park. Rere Falls, which is where you can find the Rere Rockslide, showcases gorgeous waterfalls and swimming holes that locals and visitors alike can enjoy.

If you’re only interested in the rockslide, we don’t blame you. It’s considered the most visited part of the Falls and accommodates all ages. The rockslide is made of smooth sheet rock and is almost 200 feet long. Plus, you can bring your favorite tube, wakeboard or other outdoor gear to slip n’ slide right down that rockslide.

Experiencing the natural wonder is free, and you can take a number of group or individual tours to the falls if you prefer. You also have the option to make a visit on your own — whatever floats your boat.
