Poke and avocado toast fans: you probably can’t imagine a world in which these food trends didn’t exist. We don’t blame you — they’re delicious AF. And we have incredible news: poke and avocado toast had a lovechild. Enter the pokecado food trend, the mashup of your dreams.
The gorgeous toast made its debut at Pokeatery in San Mateo, California. The pokecado starts with a massive slice of artisan bread, wasabi aioli spread and ripe avocado. Toppings include baby arugula, a choice of salmon or ahi tuna poke and as many extras — like seaweed and edamame — as your heart desires.
If you’re inclined to go with traditional poke, you can also mix and match your base, toppings, proteins and sauces.
