This Black Margarita Is Garnished With A Pig Eye And We’re Cringing

@loshorrores

There’s a margarita out there that adds an entirely new element to “all eyes on you.” At Australia’s Museum of Old and New Art, Faros Tapas has introduced a creepy cocktail that watches you as you drink. The Black Margarita is garnished with a feral pig eye and a black salt rim. You know, just in case you needed to feel like you’re not alone.

The Black Margarita uses charcoal powder to give the drink its signature black color. The most alarming part is obviously the feral pig eye that accents the drink. A cocktail spear is stabbed through the eye, which is encased in ice before it’s placed in the cocktail. The entire aestheticĀ is pretty dark if you ask us.

You’re encouraged to down the drink quickly before the ice melts unless you’re cool with a naked pig eyeball floating around in your margarita.

The drink is also part of a “full experience” that MONA offers, which includes lying on a bed in an enclosed metal sphere for 15 minutes and being accosted with seizure-inducing flashing lights. (You most definitely have to a sign a waiver at the restaurant for it.)

Sounds like a blast, right? Eh… maybe we’ll stick to just the Black Margarita for now and see where the night takes us.
