The former home of the “King of Cocaine” is now a luxurious boutique hotel called Casa Malca. While Escobar’s mansion played a huge role in the drug scene of the 1980’s, the Mexican hotel is filled with guests instead of infamous cartel players these days.

Casa Malca is all about art. The owner, Lio Lamca, bought the abandoned mansion after it stood empty for 14 years. Lamca then filled it with art and now shares it with travelers looking to experience trendy Tulum.
