Office Petting Zoos Are About To Brighten Every Animal Lover’s Life

Any animal lovers out there? If your hand isn’t raised, we’re not gonna bother to ask what’s wrong with you. Thankfully, the majority of you guys are into them, so you’re probably gonna freak when we tell you that animals are becoming prevalent in the office sphere. How prevalent, exactly? Well, office petting zoos now exist. Yes, we’re screaming.

An animal rescue company called Squeals on Wheels is bringing a petting zoo straight into offices. Companies can contact Squeals on Wheels to schedule a visit. The animal company brings an entourage of furry cuties like guinea pigs, chinchillas and rabbits, as well as bigger animals like horses and llamas.

You can request specific animals or just select a package, like barnyard animals or therapy animals.

The Washington Post reports that companies have been using Squeals on Wheels to reduce overall employee stress. “Animals make the environment less stress-y,” Alan Beck, director of the Center of the Animal-Human Bond at Purdue University, told the Post. “When you talk to another person, your blood pressure goes up. When you talk to animals, it goes down.”
