Spotlight

Apple announced new products at its annual “special event” yesterday, and they’re out of this world. If you can’t get enough of the tech giant’s products, then you may want to sit down for this one. Starting tomorrow, Friday, September 14, you can order the brand new iPhone Xs and Xs Max, plus an all-new Apple Watch Series 4.

The Deets: If you thought last year’s iPhone X was sweet, then you’ll love the updated iPhone Xs and Xs Max, which are faster than ever, water-resistant and super durable. Plus, they feature longer battery life and storage space for more than 200,000 photos.

But that’s not all. If you’re all about the wearables, then the Apple Watch Series 4 is for you. With a new edge-to-edge display, series of watch faces, improved sound and more, it’s the techy’s dream watch. For those health nuts out there, the Series 4 will also alert you when your heart rate drops too low or if you have an irregular heartbeat (a sign of AFib).

Plus, you can take an electrocardiogram by just touching your finger to the digital crown on the side of the watch. Wait, there’s one more thing: It will detect if you fall and need assistance, alerting emergency services and loved ones almost immediately. It’s Apple picking season, y’all, so get ready to order some new tech.

You know that constant stress can lead to depression and anxiety, but it can also contribute to UTIs and metabolic syndrome. Chronic stress levels could predispose you to those awful UTI symptoms and cause you to crave sweet, starchy foods, which can slow your metabolism and make you store more fat than normal. [Swirled]

Did You Know? Tea tree oil has uses way beyond aromatherapy. You can clear your sinuses in a snap by putting a drop or two of the oil on your pillow before going to sleep. And thanks to tea tree oil’s natural antiseptic properties, you can use it as alcohol-free mouthwash and even sanitize minor cuts and scrapes with it. [Swirled]
