This Glass Bridge In China Will Give You Vertigo
Don’t look down! Or maybe you should, if you want a thrill, and you’re traversing China’s latest glass bridge.
The structure, which stands 1,476 feet above a gorge in Mount Langya in Hebei, leads visitors to a circular observation platform, which can only be described as stunning.
The bridge offers incredible views of the mountains that surround it. The scenery is so dramatic it looks like it’s taken out of a movie.
You’ll have to hike roughly three hours up Mount Langya to reach the bridge, but you also have the option of taking a cable car to cut down on time.
As we mentioned, this isn’t China’s first glass bridge. Last year, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon’s 1,410 foot-long glass bridge opened to the public. While only 20 feet in width, the structure is the world’s largest glass bridge.
Inspired by the movie Avatar, China also has an “invisible” bridge in the works, and it looks just as cool as it sounds.
