Need a vacation where all you can think about is how relaxed you are? These seven international spots are the most tranquil destinations on the planet. Just looking at them will put you at total ease.

1. Kata Bay, Phuket, Thailand

Just south of Karon Beach, Kata Bay is a more understated Thai destination. Here, you won’t be flooded by tourists or traffic. The beach is located on the other side of Phuket, away from any hotels or main roads.

2. Parga, Greece

Parga is the epitome of Greek beauty. With white buildings forming a zig-zag formation down the coast and gorgeous beaches spanning the entire town, you won’t be disappointed by the views or the experience.

3. Rishikesh, India

Rishikesh is located in the foothills of the Himalayas, isolated from any outside noise or pollution. The city is known to be a haven for yogis and monks, so if you need a solid meditation, head to this Indian village.

4. Abaco Islands, Bahamas

The Bahamas had to make this list, of course, but the Abaco Islands are known particularly for their sparkling, clear waters and fine white sand. You can’t get any closer to relaxation than this.

5. The Fells, Finland

There’s not much of Finland that isn’t beautiful, but The Fells consist of dense forests and secluded arctic lakes to gawk at. Not to mention, the population is down to hundreds and there is virtually no pollution.

6. Kaikoura, New Zealand

Just outside bustling nightlife, the small city of Kaikoura offers excellent cliff diving, mountain biking and hiking options all while gazing at the crystal-blue peninsula. The spot is known for whale and dolphin sightings as well.

7. Loch Loyne Highlands, Scotland

With rolling, green hills and rivers as far as the eye can see, the Scottish Highlands are a sight for sore eyes. The Loch Loyne Highlands, in particular, will give you panoramic views while still providing a solid spot for a long, solitary walk.
