Life Hack Of The Day: Strawberry Edition

A sturdy straw (think stainless steel) is a fast way to hull strawberries. Push the straw up through the bottom of the strawberry and through the top releasing the green stem. Easy, peasy. This is a good way to have the kids help in the kitchen, too.

Health

You should be drinking baking soda — seriously. Sodium bicarbonate is a basic compound, the opposite of being acidic. What does that all mean? It will soothe acid reflux and indigestion and is effective in treating UTIs. Baking soda is also a must for pearly whites and can give you a boost of electrolytes, too. Seriously this stuff is magic. [Swirled]

Career + Finance + Tech

Afterpay is a software that allows you to split your purchase into four equal payments over the course of a few weeks so that you don’t have to pay the full price at the time of purchase. Afterpay is free to use and there’s no interest charged as long as you make your payments on time. Read on to learn more about afterpay and how you can incorporate it into your shopping experiences. Food + Drink

*Recipe of the Day: Make-ahead chia seed pudding will make your mornings so easy. The little jars of goodness come together quickly, and last for about 5 days as long as they stay covered and refrigerated. For each serving, combine a cup of your favorite nut milk (for instance, Milkadamia Macadamia Milk) with 3 tablespoons of Nutiva Organic Black Chia Seeds, a touch of pure vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Whisk together and pour into individual containers and refrigerate. In the morning, all you need to do is add your favorite toppings. Justin’s Classic Almond Butter and raspberries is the perfect taste to recreate a childhood fav, or go with a classic combo of Moorland Clover Honey and cinnamon — add a few drops of Nature’s Answer Bee Pollen for a boost of brain power so you can truly win the day.

A tip from yours truly: Preserve’s BPA-free containers are the perfect size for this on-the-go breakfast. They’re made from 100 percent recycled plastic and are dishwasher safe and are a cheery orange color.
