After 80 years of being one of the most popular candies in the U.K., Maltesers — malted milk balls coated in chocolate — are coming to America.

Citing repeated requests from American fans, Mars — the company behind Twix, Snickers, and M&M’s — has made Maltesers available nationwide, including in a massive “Theater Box” for snacking at the movies.

As you might have noticed, Maltesers look and sound a lot like Whoppers, which are made by the Hershey Company, but diehard fans insist there’s a big difference in taste between the two. For one thing, the quality of the chocolate used in Maltesers is better and richer.

“Maltesers have been a favorite in the U.K. for decades and over the years we’ve received many requests for Maltesers from fans in the U.S. who have tried it abroad,” said Kerry Cavanaugh, Brand Director of Mars Chocolate North America. “We’re thrilled to finally bring the product along with the brand’s playful personality to a whole new set of fans stateside.”
