Lyft Joins The Beer Business And You’ll Get A Discount Code With Each Can

Lyft teamed up with a Chicago-based brewery to create a Lyft-branded beer. The beer, Five Star Lager, comes in 12-ounce cans from Baderbräu Brewing and it’s being sold at select locations around Chicago. A big selling point is that each can of beer comes with a discount code equivalent to 60 percent off of your next ride home with Lyft.

A car service diving into the beer business may seem a little odd, but according to Business Insider, the decision is less about selling beer and profitability, and more about helping to prevent drunk driving by using the car service. The beer itself is a light and easy lager, which could be the perfect nightcap once you get home safe and sound.
