Loosie Rouge Is Where NOLA Hits Williamsburg
[tw-divider]The Scoop[/tw-divider]
- If you haven’t checked out the NOLA-inspired Williamsburg piano bar Loosie Rouge, you’re doing something wrong. In the words of The New Yorker, “For some, becoming a regular at the nominally New Orleans-themed bar Loosie Rouge is the latest mark of truly making it”
- Whitewashed brick walls and colorful geometric accents compliment the mid-century furniture, in the space formally housing Fatty ‘Cue. An easy-going team turns on the charm (four co-owners: Damien del Rio, Vincent Marino, Max P
- eskowitz, and Garry Knopov) as they chat with guests over old-fashioned cocktails
- A combo of James Brown records and familiar rap/hip hop songs play in the background while the former Daniel bartender, Arnaud Dissais, uses homemade syrups and infused liquors to spice up the classics (try Loosie’s Cup which combines the traditional Pimm’s Cup with a twist of refreshing cucumber juice). Pop next door to Loosie’s Kitchen for some southern-style hospitality and a blue-corn shrimp po’ boy
