Talk about a room with a view. You have the opportunity to be the first person to spend the night in the London Eye, a truly iconic landmark.
The chance to have the amazing experience, with incredible views of Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Tower Bridge, comes from TripAdvisor, which is holding a contest called “Eye Spy A Home In The Sky.”
One of the 443ft ferris wheel capsules will be transformed into a luxurious bedroom, giving you a 360° view of the city. The space will be decorated by Wayfair and is described by TripAdvisor as “penthouse luxe meets jungle cool in this dazzling pad in the sky.”

“Inspired by a five-star rain forest getaway, this enchanting glasshouse combines natural elements with urban style,” the company explains. “Lush green foliage, trailing fairy lights, and tropical touches abound, while a posh bed, luxury linens, and boutique chic décor bring a whole new meaning to sleeping under the stars. It’s like a secret rooftop garden—only this one has views of one of the world’s iconic cities from every angle.”
Your chance to score the opportunity lasts until March 19. Along with a guest, the winner of the contest, which will be chosen randomly on the 20th, will spend the night at the top of the London Eye on March 30th. In addition to the evening high above the city, the duo will also be given a three-night stay in a modern TripAdvisor rental close by.
“It really is the trip of a lifetime, and the winner will be making history in the process,” TripAdvisor spokesperson Laurel Greatrix told Conde Nast Traveler.
While over 50 million passengers have taken a spin on the London Eye since it first opened in 2000, the winner and his or her guest will be the first to spend the night.
