Peruvian Cuisine Gets Modern In Williamsburg At Llama Inn

[tw-divider]The Scoop[/tw-divider]

  • The chef at this striking Peruvian restaurant (not an inn) is Erik Ramirez, formerly of Nuela, Raymi, and Eleven Madison Park

  • Because of a “bad habit of ordering everything on the menu,” most things on Llama Inn’s menu are small and meant for sharing, like the burrata with purple potato and green garlic or any of the anticuchos (expertly grilled meat skewers). When you’re feeling brave, go for the beef heart

  • Llama Inn’s drink menu is just as carefully curated as the food, and includes a great selection of Spanish and Latin American wines, plus several excellent sherries and piscos

They both sound a little silly, but the Llama Del Rey (a pisco and red wine drink similar to sangria, with grilled pineapple and pink peppercorns) and the Dolly Llama (a pisco and red wine slushy with strawberry shrub) are delicious and very fun to drink
