Career + Finance + Tech

It’s no surprise that millennials have changed the career game, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. But one thing is clear: Workplaces are changing. For instance, did you know that many millennials would prefer to have the flexibility and the ability to work remotely over a schedule that is regimented or too rigid? It’s true, and given how much business can be done remotely it’s no surprise that flexibility is key when looking for a dream role. Bonus: Studies have shown that companies with remote employees have also reported having a higher percentage of women in leadership positions! We love that! [Swirled]

Recipe Of The Day: Bring the heat to your picnic or potluck with a twist on a classic — Jalapeño popper pasta salad. OMG. No bland pasta salad here that’s for sure and it’s so simple to make. Cook a box of elbow pasta until al dente. While cooking, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, pepper and garlic powder in a large bowl. Drain the pasta and let it cool a few minutes, then add it to the mayonnaise mixture. Stir well and mix in jalapeños, green onions, bacon and shredded cheese. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. [Spicy Southern Kitchen]

A quick tip from yours truly: No backyard barbecue is complete without some sweet and juicy grilled corn on the cob. If you pick up your ears from the grocery store or farmers market, soak them in water for 20 minutes before grilling and keep the husks on. Even as the papery husks begin to blacken, the kernels are safe inside.
