Swirled

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (or 1 stick) of butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup of crushed red and green M&M’S

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugars until fluffy, about five minutes. Then, add the eggs and vanilla and beat until incorporated. In another bowl, add flour, baking soda and salt and mix until completely combined. Add dry mixture into the wet mixture in batches and beat until just incorporated. Toss in the oats and crushed M&M’S and mix until just combined. Then, roll the dough into one-inch balls and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, then let cool.

Pro tip: If you have the time, chill your dough for two to three hours before baking. The dough will set up much more nicely and the flavors will have time to marinate!
