You Can Drink Whiskey 800 Feet Off The Ground At This Bangkok Bar
Calling all adventurous whiskey lovers: the ultimate opportunity for you has arrived. It’s time to take a trip to Bangkok to experience a glass of the good stuff at the highest whiskey bar in the world. How high, exactly? Approximately 800 feet above ground.
You can find the famous bar, Alfresco 64, on the 64th floor of the Tower Club in the heart of Thailand’s capital.
Before you order your whiskey of choice, you have to take a moment to admire the Bangkok skyline and the Chao Phraya river. After all, you went all the way up there for a reason, right?
You can order from an extensive menu of international whiskeys, but the bar specializes in limited edition scotch made by Chivas Regal. The best bottle will set you back $7,000. But don’t worry, there are plenty of reasonable glasses on offer.
The bar aims to satisfy the ultimate whiskey snob with its yacht-like ambiance, whiskey selection and even the glasses. The bar claims it “highlight[s] the soft hues of your beverage, intensify flavors and aromas, and chills one’s drink without the addition of ice all for a more indulgent tasting.”
If you’re ready to take your obsession to new heights, literally, Bangkok is calling.
