High Street On Hudson Features Outstanding American Cuisine In A Laid-Back Setting
[tw-divider]The Scoop[/tw-divider]
- An outpost of High Street on Market in Philadelphia, High Street offers an all-day menu that highlights freshly baked bread, and pastries like chocolate brioche and blueberry honey cake
- The breakfast menu, served until 11:30am on weekdays and 2:30pm on weekends, is full of killer egg sandwiches like the Pastrami & Hash and the Bodega (sausage, egg, and cheese on a biscuit). At $13, they’re not your typical bacon-egg-and-cheese deal from the deli — they’re much better
- For dinner, served Wednesday through Monday, the pasta options again show that High Street is all about the dough. The seaweed bucatini with mussels and lobster bottarga and the rye rigatoni with chicken sausage and English peas show off the kitchen’s best talents

Not every restaurant can pull off an all-day restaurant with such fully distinct breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, but Eli Kulp, a James Beard Award-nominated alum of Torrisi Italian Specialities and Del Posto, is one of the most talented chefs in the country. In 2015, Kulp was one of the victims of a devastating Amtrak crash that left him paralyzed from the neck down — in spite of which, has not stopped Kulp from realizing his dream of having his own restaurant in New York City. Kulp’s talented team includes acclaimed baker Alex Bois, pastry chef Sam Kincaid, and culinary director Jon Nodler
