5 Ways To Eat Healthy At The Cheesecake Factory

@cheesecakefactory

If you haven’t been to The Cheesecake Factory, you really are missing out. Between its 30+ cheesecake flavors and its vast menu selection, you can always find something to accommodate your cravings. But like most other chain restaurant experiences, the calories can creep up on you if you’re not careful. Here’s how to indulge at The Cheesecake Factory without totally trashing your diet.

1. Seared Tuna Tataki Salad

If you’re looking at getting a salad either as a starter or a main course, the seared tuna tataki salad is a healthy choice. Standing at a fairly humble 490 calories and high in vitamins A and C, the salad won’t break your diet. However, be aware that the sodium content is a bit high at 915 milligrams (hello, bloating). It’s a great sharing plate at the very least!

2. Mexican Chicken Lettuce Wrap Tacos

As a starter, these tacos, which are made of lettuce, chicken, avocado, tomato, onion, cilantro, roasted corn salsa and crema, are fairly low in calories (240 for three tacos). They also clock in at 13 grams of fat, which isn’t amazing but isn’t terribly offensive, either, given that the average daily recommended amount of fat is 44-78 grams depending on the person.

3. Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta

For a pasta entrée, you’d be surprised to find that the Skinnylicious chicken pasta clocks in at just 550 calories (and yeah, that’s for the entire thing). The pasta bowl, which is made of rigatoni pasta, sautéed chicken, fresh tomatoes, marinara sauce and basil, includes 14 grams of fat and a whopping 43 grams of protein. Not bad at all.

4. Skinny Red Sangria

Don’t think twice about ordering a drink if you’re dying for one — there are healthy options here, too! The skinny red sangria, which is served on the rocks, comes in at just 110 calories per 8-ounce serving. Cheers to drinking and keeping your health game strong.

5. Low Carb Cheesecake With Strawberries

You already suspected that you couldn’t have the real deal, right? Unfortunately, even their classic slice with no extras racks up around 840 calories. Lighten it up by ordering the low carb cheesecake with strawberries, which is made with Splenda and a graham-walnut crust, for 620 calories. You should still probably split the slice with a friend, though — especially if you already ate your entire entrée and ordered a starter.

It really is possible to indulge at a restaurant like The Cheesecake Factory as long as you know which dishes to spring for. And yes, you can still have your cheesecake, too, but don’t expect any slice on the menu to keep your diet on track.
